ACCESS TO THE CENTER

The Athletic & Fitness Center (AFC) is available for use by those who possess the proper identification. The swimming pool, weight room and gymnasium are open during specified hours throughout the year.


All students, faculty and staff are required to sign in (and check off the appropriate activity) at the front desk before beginning their workout. It is
important that the activity area gets noted. This helps us track utilization of the facility.


Identification is required, with some exceptions. Those who enter the facility to attend a specific credit or non-credit class are not required to show
an ID card, however, they are required to sign in.


For special activities (swim team practice, rentals, athletic contests, etc.) participants and spectators are not required to sign in.


HCC Student ID cards

The ID card must be validated with a sticker indicating the current semester. If a student comes in and does not have an ID card, he or she should be directed to the Public Safety office (RCF117) to obtain a new/replacement card and valid sticker.


Faculty and Staff

ID cards can be obtained through the Public Safety office or specific division offices.


Center Passes

A center pass can be purchased by those who are not HCC students or staff. Six month, monthly and daily passes are available for purchase at the Cashiers office (RCF213.)

Daily $8
Monthly $50
6-Month $150

After purchasing the pass, the receipt must be presented at the front lobby desk. A member of the AFC staff will create the pass.

Copies of the six month and monthly receipts are to be given to a designated staff member in the main office.

Receipts for daily passes can be used to gain admittance for the specified day.

(Passes purchased during the summer will receive extended dates.)

Alumni Discounted Pass

Daily $8
Monthly $40
6-Month $125

To be designated as alumni, former students must have taken a minimum of 30 credits at HCC.

HCC lifetime alumni cards can be purchased at the Development office (MH102) for $30.The alumni card must be presented at the cashiers office when purchasing an Athletic& Fitness Center pass at a discounted rate.

The receipt must then be presented at the AFC front lobby desk where a member of the staff will create the center pass.  

Student Athletes

Athletes who are members of an in-season(fall, winter, spring) team are allowed to enter the facility without signing in when coming in to prepare for practice and work outs or a game/athletic contest.

When they are not in season, they must present a valid ID card and sign in.
