Howard Community College YEP! Basketball Clinic
Youth Basketball Program Hosted by Howard Community College
Our mission is to improve lives and create opportunities by funding pathways to student success. We will accomplish this mission through the HCC Basketball Program designed to teach Title 1 elementary school graduates, who have matriculated in Howard County middle and high schools, fundamental skills required for young boys and girls to become successful basketball players over a 12-month period.
We will conduct basketball clinics twice a month on average—one weeknight and one weekend session—and serve elementary, middle, and high school students as well as young adults. Each session will consist of two hours of court time and one hour in the classroom to cover topics related to student success and provide free, healthy meals. Students will also be mentored by Howard Community College basketball players and coaches.
