In the second game of the weekend, the Howard Community College (HCC) Dragons women's lacrosse program stayed up in NY to face Nassau Community College (NCC). HCC came out on top in this game as well by a score of 13-5.
On Sunday, NCC put up a little more resistance then Suffolk Community College, but still were out paced by the Dragons superb attack unit.
HCC played a great first half against NCC. In the half the Dragons scored 7 of its 13 goals.
The second half was much slower for HCC, but it would prove to be enough to close out the game and secure an undefeated weekend in NY. HCC was led by
Delany Heath (Glenelg, MD, Glenelg) and
Nicole Keller (Ellicott City, MD, Howard), who combined for 7 of HCC's 13 goals. After a strong first game
Kelsey Scott (Catonsville, MD, Catonsville) added 6 points on the day with 2 goals and 4 assists.
With the win, HCC improves to 6-3, 3-3 on the season. The Dragons will return to action on Tuesday as they will look to get a critical MD JUCO win as they travel to Essex to take on the Knights.
