Bel Air, MD - The Dragons difficult start to the season continued as they fell for a third straight time against a top five ranked opponent, losing to #1 ranked Harford 23-3.
Howard fell behind 5-0 early when
Marielle Henriquez (Laurel, MD/Reservoir) got the Dragons on the board as she cut inside from the wing and buried a shot into the low corner.
After the Fighting Owls went on another 5-0 run,
Sandra Naylor (Elkridge, MD/Mt. DeSales) earned a free position attempt  Â
Noelle Dawson (Catonsville, MD/Kings Academy) made a great individual effort slicing through the Harford defense to score early in the second half, but unfortunately that was the last goal for the Dragons in the contest.
Kristen Ogle (Sykesville, MD/Century) played a valuable role in the midfield with five draw controls, two caused turnovers and a ground ball while goalkeeper
Brianna Bucksell (Washington, DC/Oxon Hill) made seven saves in the contest.
The Dragons will look to pick up their first win of the season as they host Potomac State on Wednesday, April 3 at 4 PM. The Potomac State Catamounts are 1-4 on the season with their lone win coming at Erie over the weekend.
