Javin Dodd joins the Howard Community College coaching staff for the first year as the jumps coach, bringing a wealth of experience and expertise. Beginning a collegiate coaching career at the University of Alabama,  as a strength and conditioning coach  2017-2020.
Building on that foundation, Javin moved on to coach long and triple jumpers at Goucher College in 2021. There, Javin led the team to numerous Landmark Conference jumping  titles a D records, demonstrating a commitment to excellence and athlete development.
In addition to coaching, Dodd is pursuing further studies, earning a Ph.D. in Kinesiology. This academic achievement reinforces a deep understanding of athletic performance and biomechanics, further enhancing the ability to guide student-athletes to reach their full potential. With a combination of practical experience and scholarly expertise, Javin Dodd is dedicated to developing the next generation of champions at Howard Community College.
