Kevin Drummond

Kevin joined the Howard Community College Athletics Department as a spotter in the Fall of 2013, working men’s and women’s home basketball games.

Shortly after, he was hired as the department’s Office Associate. Among his duties include: writing press releases, writing articles on student-athletes, taking photos of student-athletes and coaches, producing game programs and supporting the office manager with various administrative duties.

Drummond’s sports work experience includes time as a public relations assistant with the Baltimore Orioles.  His responsibilities included writing press releases, game notes, articles for game programs, and media guide information.  In addition, he arranged media interviews with Orioles players and coaches, kept game stats and gave public tours of Oriole Park at Camden Yards. 

Kevin graduated from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia with a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations.  He worked with the JMU Sports Information Department as a statistician at home contests, writing articles on outstanding student-athletes, and supporting full-time SID staff.

Drummond’s previous sports work experience also includes volunteering in communications with Major League Soccer’s D.C. United, U.S. Soccer World Cup and Soccer for the Centennial Olympic Games.

Kevin grew up in Howard County and currently resides in Odenton, Maryland.
