Dragons fall to Montgomery in Region XX Playoffs

Montgomery College's Ana Cordon scored the game's only goal with an assist from Julia Mendonca to defeat Howard Community College in the Region XX/District H Semifinals  at Anne Arundel Community College on October 31.

The game came with some controversy. Despite what appeared to be a Montgomery player clearly offside, the officials allowed the play to continue which led directly to the lone goal of the game.

The loss eliminated the chance for the Dragons to play for a National Championship, despite an impressive season.  HCC had a 13-3 record overall, 7-1 in the Maryland JUCO Conference and was ranked as high as number two in the country before the loss to Montgomery.
