Big Second Half Pushes Dragons Past Essex County

The Howard Community College Women's Basketball program beat Essex County College (NJ) on the second day of the Dragon Invitational to end the invite with a record of 1-1. The Dragons who trailed by nine going into the half played strong in the second half outscoring Essex by 11 to pull out 53-51 victory. Elisabeth Parks (Columbia, MD, St. Johns HS) led the team with 15 points on 6-9 from the field and 3-4 from the line. Patrice Jones (Columbia, MD, Oakland Mills HS) also had herself a game contributing 14 points on the game.
