Lady Dragons Drop Heartbreaking Loss to CSM

The Lady Dragons basketball team played the College of Southern MD to a heartbreaking loss last night. 

The entire second half was a seesaw affair with a game that saw 9 lead changes. With 10 seconds left in the game the Dragons were down by 2 with forward Elisabeth Parks (Columbia, MD, St. Johns HS) at the foul line. She made the first but missed the second, however Rebeka Coughlin (Sykesville, MD, Liberty HS) stole the ball away from CSM and was shortly thereafter fouled. Coughlin made both free throws to give HCC a 54-53 lead with just 8 seconds left in the game. However, a controversial foul call against Parks with 3 seconds left put CSM at the foul line, where they were able to make both free throws and ultimately win the game 54-55.
