Howard Wins Two in a Row

The Howard Community College Men's Soccer program pulled off its second straight win Wednesday night as they defeated Hagerstown Community College in a decisive final score of 4-1.

Hagerstown got off to a quick start getting a penalty kick to start the game to jump out to an early 1-0 lead.  However, the Dragons kept their cool and at the 17' minute mark when Emmanuel Wright (Columbia, MD, Mt. Hebron HS) would tie the game from Ezekiel Ebenezer (Columbia, MD, Long Reach HS) who recorded the assist on the play. The Dragon's would score one more time in the first half to give them what proved to be the game winning goal. Ian Evans (Columbia, MD, Hammond HS) scored an unassisted goal in the 29' minute.

The Dragons would score two more times in the second half to give them a comfortable 4-1 victory.  In the second half the goals would be scored by Amarh Konugbo (Columbia, MD, Wilde Lake HS) who would be credited with the unassisted goal at 47' minute of action.  Howard's second goal of the half was scored by Ebenezer who was assisted on the play by Evans.  Both Ebenezer and Evans finished the game with a goal and an assist.

With the win Howard improves to (3-4-0, 2-2-0) and will resume action Friday September 19 as they return to the Dragon Athletic Complex to take on the College of Southern Maryland in another Maryland JUCO game.
