Howard CC vs. Baltimore City CC
The Dragons took the first match from the host Panthers, two games to none.  HCC dominated Baltimore City in the first set, 25-8.  Hitters Stephanie Bartylla (Westminster, MD/Manchester Valley HS) (Westminster, MD, Manchester Valley HS) and Chelsea Parrinello (Finksburg, MD/Westminster HS) (Finksburg, MD, Westminster HS) both made 3 kills, while Taylor Bowen (Mount Airy, MD/South Carroll HS) (Mount Airy, MD, South Carroll HS) earned 2 kills and had 3 block assists.  Essence Holtzclaw (Atlanta, GA/Arundel HS) (Atlanta, GA, Arundel HS) also had 2 kills.  Julia Boras (Baltimore, MD/Oakland Mills HS) (Baltimore, MD, Oakland Mills HS) recorded 5 set assists and a service ace, while Libero Allia Mostafa (Columbia, MD/Oakland Mills HS) (Columbia, MD, Oakland Mills HS) led the team with 3 digs.

The Dragons also prevailed in the second set, winning 25-17.  Boras played a great set, leading the team with 5 set assists and serving 4 aces.  Parrinello also starred, spiking 2 kills and earning 4 digs.  Bartylla recorded 3 kills; Parrinello and Bowen added 2 kills.

Howard CC vs. Anne Arundel CC
In the Dragons' second match of the Charm City Tournament, they swept Anne Arundel Community College, 25-11 and 25-17.

Stephanie Bartylla (Westminster, MD/Manchester Valley HS) had an outstanding first set, with 2 kills, 4 aces, 3 digs, and a block assist.  Outside Hitter Chelsea Parrinello (Finksburg, MD/Westminster HS) contributed with 2 kills, 3 digs, and a block assist and Essence Holtzclaw (Atlanta, GA/Arundel HS) had 2 kills, 2 aces, and 2 digs.  Julia Boras (Baltimore, MD/Oakland Mills HS) chipped in with 5 set assists.

Parrinello starred in the second set, earning 2 kills and 5 digs.  Overall in the set, the Dragons earned 12 digs and put away the Riverhawks for the victory.

Howard CC vs. Central Pennsylvania
The Dragons continued their stellar tournament performance with another victory by sweep, this time defeating Central Pennsylvania.

HCC prevailed in a tight 25-23 win in the first set.  Taylor Bowen (Mount Airy, MD/South Carroll HS) and Essence Holtzclaw (Atlanta, GA/Arundel HS) led the team with 4 kills in the opening frame.  Overall the Dragons had 12 kills in the set, along with 11 digs.  HCC also had 7 set assists, all coming from Julia Boras (Baltimore, MD/Oakland Mills HS).

In the second set, the Dragons were consistently on the attack and overwhelmed Central Pennsylvania, 25-15.  Julia Boras (Baltimore, MD/Oakland Mills HS) was phenomenal, with all 10 of the Dragons' set assists.  HCC also earned 15 kills and 13 digs in the set.

Howard CC vs. Frederick CC
In the finals, Howard Community College fell to Frederick Community College, two games to none.  The Cougars beat the Dragons 25-6 in the first set and 25-16 in the second set.

The Dragons struggled mightily in the first set.  HCC only had 2 kills in the entire set, earned by Taylor Bowen (Mount Airy, MD/South Carroll HS) and Chelsea Parrinello (Finksburg, MD/Westminster HS).  Libero Allia Mostafa (Columbia, MD/Oakland Mills HS) added 4 digs and Parrinello had 2 digs.

HCC played better in the second set, but could not overtake the Cougars.  Essence Holtzclaw (Atlanta, GA/Arundel HS) led the team with 3 kills and also added 3 digs.  Libero Allia Mostafa (Columbia, MD/Oakland Mills HS) contributed with 5 digs, while Julia Boras (Baltimore, MD/Oakland Mills HS) had 5 set assists.
