The Dragons looked to start their season off right with a home opener against the Hawks of Southern Maryland who had lost their previous two games. To no avail the Dragons dropped the game 81—38. CSM was incredibly dominant throughout the game, they seemingly were scoring at will and their defense stifled Howard's offense to where they were not able to run. Things though turned around for the Dragons in the 2
nd half. The Dragons found the net and scored 26 of their 38 points. Howard was led by
Sabreen Muslim (Baltimore, Md./Baltimore City College HS) who scored 15 of her 20 points and
Maranda Robinson (Columbia, Md./Oakland Mills) added 7 more.
Sara Sagi (Columbia, Md./Howard) had the Dragon's lone 3 pointer in the 4
th quarter. The home opener was a tough loss and the next game looks like to be a tougher game as Howard plays Harford team whose averaging 109 points in the first 7 games they have played.
