The Dragons looked to start 2017 off with a win, but it was not to be. Niagara made the trip down from New York and beat Howard 76-60. The T-Wolves and Dragons went back and forth in lead changes in the start of the 1st half but Niagara, pulled away and never let the Dragons take the lead. Much of the game had turnovers and mistakes which the Dragons were not able to capitalize on. At the half the Niagara led 35-24, Howard shot 61% from the line and Niagara shot 56% from the line. The 2nd half started and both teams racked up fouls within the first five minutes and the T-Wolves went 14-16 from the line and the Dragons went 12-16 from the line. The Dragons were led by
Taequan Hall (Baltimore, MD/Glen Burnie)'s 12 points,
Paul Golder (Laurel, MD/Laurel) and
Ronald Bryant Jr. (Hanover, MD/Marriotts Ridge) Both had 10 points each,
Neftaly Lind (Albany, NY/Green Tech Charter) scored 8 points. With this lost the Dragons are (3-8 overall and 2-4 ) in the conference.
