Wye Mills, MD - A strong bounce back by the Dragons after a couple of tough conference losses saw them blaze past the Chesapeake Skipjacks 5-1.

Cesar Torres (Jessup, MD/Hammond) netted his first goal of the season on a Daniel Fuentes (Clarksville, MD/River Hill) assist 13 minutes into the contest followed by a Matias Britos (Sykesville, MD/Liberty) goal just four minutes later.

Fuentes was able to score a goal for himself in the 21st minute to give Howard a 3-0 lead going into the halftime break.

The second half saw the Dragons continue to dominate possession which led to a Chesapeake own goal as well as an Anderson Mejia Marroquin (Elkridge, MD/Hammond) goal in the 84th minute for his conference leading 14th of the season. 

The Skipjacks were able to pull one back late, but it was too little too late for the hosts thanks to a great defensive effort and four saves by goalkeeper Kevin Villalta (Silver Spring, MD/Springbrook).

Howard will next host Region 20 opponents Westmoreland on Saturday, October 6 at 3 PM.
