Dragons Lose Pair Of Games In New York

New York – The Dragons weekend trip to New York saw Howard go up against some very tough competition as they lost 122-48 to Niagara County followed by a 90-54 loss to Genesee.

Howard welcomed back Ashlyn McInerney (Hyattsville, MD/Hammond) to the lineup as the full contingent of nine players were available for the first time all season long. McInerney immediately reminded the Dragons with what they were missing with a trio of treys to score nine points while Cassandra Padellford (Truckee, CA/Truckee) scored 11 points in her second game of the season.

Sabreen Muslim (Baltimore, Md./Baltimore City College) scored 13 points with 10 rebounds while playing through foul trouble while Shanta Johnson (Upper Marlboro, MD/Suitland) dropped eight points and Mia McCormick (Philadelphia, PA/River Hill) added seven points and 12 rebounds.

In their second game of the weekend, Muslim recorded her seventh double-double in as many games this season, scoring 23 points with 15 rebounds.

McCormick also added a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds while Johnson scored seven points with six assists.

The Dragons will make a much shorter trip for their next game, traveling to CCBC Catonsville on Tuesday, November 20 for a 5 PM match.
