Game Recap: Women's Soccer | | Mark Winkel

Howard Blows Out Catonsville 14-0

Catonsville, MD - Howard scored their third consecutive shut out as they defeated the CCBC Catonsville Cardinals 14-0.

The Dragons scored nine goals in the first half and out-shot the Cardinals 47-0 as the ball rarely entered the Dragons half of the field in the contest.

Madalyn Nichols (Mt. Airy, MD/Glenelg) continued to be a top scoring threat, as she put in three goals along with a couple of assists in the game. Kylie Toler (Fulton, MD/Reservoir) scored two more goals as she tries to keep pace with her teammate.

Howard had 11 different goal scorers in the contest including Claudia Brush (Catonsville, MD/Catonsville), Lillian Scott (Catonsville, MD/Catonsville), Josie Stubs (Dayton, MD/Glenelg), Busi Sokoya (Columbia, MD/Long Reach), Mya McConnell (Columbia, MD/Howard), Allison Sturm (Mt. Airy, MD/South Carroll), Cassandra Padellford (Truckee, CA/Truckee), Ellen Campbell (Highland, MD/Reservoir) and Rylee Nieman (Mt. Airy, MD/South Carroll). This was especially fun for the team as Brush, Sturm, McConnell, Stubs, Padellford and Sokoya all scored their first goals of the season as the only Howard player without a point now is goalkeeper Hailey Murray (Catonsville, MD/Catonsville).

The Dragons next game is against conference rivals Montgomery College on Wednesday, October 23 at 4 PM in the Dragons Lair.
