Hagerstown, MD - New head coach Jake Achten took a team of all freshman to conference perennial powerhouse Hagerstown and fell in straight sets.

The Dragons got out to a tough start in the first set struggling to find any kind of momentum, but showed continuous improvement throughout the match. 

Kira Thompson (Elkridge, MD/Atholton) led Howard with a trio of kills while Sabrina Lagomarsino (Clarksville, MD/Atholton) provided six assists, three aces, and two blocks. Natalie Hosseini (Ellicott City, MD/Mt. Hebron) had an impressive match in the middle with five blocks and Emily Aubertin (Mount Airy, MD/Linganore) came up with seven digs on the defensive side.

Howard will travel to another conference rival as they face Frederick on Tuesday, September 3 for a 7 PM match.
