Columbia, MD - The Howard Dragons took control of the game early and scored often in the first half on the way to a comfortable 12-1 victory over the Potomac State Catamounts 12-1.
Howard outshot Potomac State 45-2 in the contest with 39 of those shots coming in the first half.
Grace Pritchett (Dayton, MD/Linganore) led the way on the offensive side of things with 10 shots in the first half including three goals and an assist.
With the game well in hand, coach Seagroves was able to rotate her lineup freely, allowing defender
Clara Janush (Laurel, MD/Reservoir) to chip in two goals and two assists.
The Dragons had nine different goal scorers in the game with Janush, Pritchett,
Rebecca Herriotts (Glenwood, MD/Mt. Airy Christian),
Kayla Hatmaker (Woodbine, MD/Century),
Ellen Campbell (Highland, MD/Reservoir), and
Haley Waddel (Catonsville, MD/Catonsville) all scoring their first goals of the season.
Madalyn Nichols (Mt. Airy, MD/Glenelg) and
Emily Delaney (Catonsville, MD/Catonsville) also scored in the game adding to their season totals.
Howard will have a critical conference matchup as Frederick comes to town on Tuesday, September 10 at 4 PM.
