Trenton, NJ - A difficult weekend trip to New Jersey saw the Dragons fall to Sussex County 2-0 before losing an action packed match at Mercer County 4-3.
Howard CC struggled to get any offensive momentum in their first game of the weekend, seeing only one shot on goal in the 2-0 shutout loss.
The second game of the weekend was a far better showing for the Dragons, as Howard went down 2-0 early in the game before storming back.
Leonard Dunor (Fargo, ND/Sheyenne) scored before assisting
Emmanuel Pope (Jessup, MD/Hammond) to tie the game at 2-2 in the second half.
Josue Sorto-Ramos (Mt. Rainier, MD/Northwestern)Â scored his first goal of the season on
Dylan Portillo's (Bladensburg, MD/El Salvador) second assist of the contest to take the lead 3-2. However, the Mercer County Vikings answered back with two late goals to take a dramatic 4-3 win in a game that saw more yellow cards than goals.
The Dragons will get right back at it as they travel to Chesapeake College on Tuesday, October 12 at 4 PM.
