Columbia, MD - The Dragons were able to win at home for the 23rd straight game, extending the program record as they blew out the Richard Bland Statesmen 91-51.
Howard CC went wire-to-wire in the contest, jumping out to a 6-0 lead with
David Garey (Gaithersburg, MD/Hargrave Military) pulling the strings for the Dragons.
Daeshawn Eaton (Columbia, MD/Oakland Mills) aggressively attacked the rim and
Joel Webb (Forrestville, MD/Dr. Henry A. Wise) dominated the paint as Howard CC built up a 41-20 first half lead. For a third straight game the Dragons built up such a big lead, that the deep bench of Howard was utilized with 11 different players scoring points.Â
Five Howard players finished in double-digits led by Webb with 18 including a 6-6 shooting performance from the floor. Eaton scored 16 with seven rebounds and
Hollique Johnson (Millersville, MD/Old Mill) flirted with a double-double at 12 points and eight rebounds. Garey scored 11 and had a team high four assists while
Mason Williams (Chicago, IL/Quakerdale Prep) scored a career high 10 points.
