Columbia, MD - The Dragons sent off sophomores Eryca Sterling (Columbia,MD/Wilde Lake) and Mikaela Brewer (Gaithersburg, MD/Covenant Life) in style as they completed a dominating three set sweep over the Chesapeake Skipjacks.

The Dragons were able to get off to a commanding start, winning the last 11 points in a row to win the first set 25-6. Chesapeake put in a better showing in the second and third sets, but Howard was not to be denied as they won their final tune up match before the start of playoffs.

Morgan Conner (Sandy Spring, MD/Sherwood) led the way with 12 kills and three blocks while Brenna Siperko (Ellicott City, MD/Mt. Hebron) added nine kills. The swan song for the sophomores saw Sterling lead the team with seven digs while Brewer had five aces and 27 assists.

The Dragons will now get ready for the Region 20 tournament as they head to Butler County Community College on Saturday, October 22 where they will go in as the #3 seed. The semifinal match will see Howard face-off against Westmoreland, a team they fell to in the regular season 3-1 back on September 24.
