Columbia, MD - The Howard men's basketball team extended their home winning streak to 36 as they bamboozled the Frederick Cougars by the score of 87-44.
The Dragons put on a defensive clinic in the first half, holding the Cougars to just 13 first half points and building up a commanding halftime lead at 39-13 including a 12-0 run.
A balanced offense by Howard continued to dominate in the second half with 11 different scorers, none of which had more than 11 points.
Howard had five players in double digits including
Benjamin Murphy (Reisterstown, MD/Franklin),
Andrew Mills (Owings Mills, MD/Newtown), and
Koby Baptiste (New Carrollton, MD/Parkdale) all finishing with 11 points each.
Marquis Freeman (Manassas, VA/Fork Union Prep) and
Trea Keys (Columbia, MD/Wilde Lake) score 10 points each while
Jalen Bowie (Frederick, MD/Frederick) and
Shane Taylor (Ellicott City, MD/Centennial) both chipped in nine more.
Cameron Watts (Columbia, MD/Boys Latin), fresh off his 20 point performance against Garrett, led the team with six assists while also adding seven points.
Howard will put their streak on the line once again when Chesapeake comes to Columbia on Tuesday, November 22 at 7 PM.
