Shane Taylor (Ellicott City, MD/Centennial) scored a season high 25 points with
Andrew Mills (Owings Mills, MD/New Town) adding 21 as the Dragons were able to survive another tough test against the Beaver County Titans 75-66.
The Dragons played excellent defense in the first half led by a 40 minute performance by
Jalen Bowie (Frederick, MD/Frederick) who put a clinic on defending on the ball as Howard held Beaver County to just 26 first half points.
The Titans surged forward throughout the second half, going up by six with seven minutes left in the second half. Howard answered back as Taylor and Mills made some big baskets along with strong plays by
Christian Dean (Elkridge, MD/Long Reach) who had a third straight impactful game.Â
In stark contrast to recent games, the Dragons had just 6 players score in the game with
Emanuel Henriques (Baltimore, MD/Benjamin Franklin) scoring 10 points as the only points off the bench for Howard.
O'Meech Wilson (Glen Burnie, MD/North County) scored 9 with 10 rebounds and a couple of blocks while Bowie added 8, and Dean scored 4.
The Dragons will next head to West Virginia to take on the Potomac State Catamounts on Wednesday, December 6 at 7 PM.
