West Windsor, NJ - Howard Community College's men's soccer team lost its fourth game of the season on Monday night, falling to Mercer County Community College 6-1.
The Dragons kept the game close throughout, as
Darian Paz (Fredericksburg, VA/Stafford) scored just before the half. Howard trailed 3-1 entering the final ten minutes before an eruption of Mercer goals put the game away.
Howard managed just four shots against a tough Mercer defense, their lowest number on the season. Despite the loss, the Dragons still sit in the top-four of Region 20 with a potential home playoff game on the horizon.
The next contest for the Dragons will be their final home game of the season on Thursday, October 10 at 3:00 PM against Division I powerhouse Harford.
