COLUMBIA, MD - The Howard Dragons kept the Anne Arundel Riverhawks scoreless for 52 minutes of play on their way to a comfortable 13-2 win. The Dragons won their second straight, improving to 2-3 on the season while Anne Arundel falls to 1-4.

Ethan Varani (Clarksville, MD/River Hill) took over the game early, scoring a hat trick in the first 18 minutes of the game on his way to a five goal game. Joe Patti (Orlando, FL/Dr. Phillips) scored two goals on both sides of halftime while JT Harich (Point of Rocks, MD/Brunswick) assisted on four more as he continues to dominate the team in that category. 

Braden Chaney (Sykesville, MD/South Carroll) saved nine shots while letting in just one goal before giving way to Charlie Wendel (Glenwood, MD/Glenelg) who made four saves in the final six minutes. 

Rory Blanchard (New Market, MD/Oakdale) had another strong game in the face-off circle with a 15-18 performance. Tyler Readinger (Chicago, IL/Huntley) was big on the defensive side with four caused turnovers and four groundballs as he was a big part of the Dragons stifling the Riverhawks attack.

The Dragons will next travel to New York for a couple of games starting with Onondaga on Monday, March 25 at 5:30 PM.
