Complete Domination: Dragons Drop Season High 94 Points in Win!

New Rochelle, NY - Howard Community College's women's basketball team secured their biggest win of the season last Sunday, defeating Erie Community College 94-35.

The Dragons wrapped up the MLK Classic at Monroe University in dominant fashion. Howard held the Kats to single digits in three of the four quarters, forced 46 turnovers and 31 steals, and out-rebounded the Kats 41-36. Three Dragons scored in double-digits, and three more Dragons dropped new career-highs in points. The win marked the Dragons fourth-straight victory, their seventh win in their last eight games, and moved them to 8-7 on the season.

Howard immediately set the tone by jumping out to a 15-0 start in the first. The Dragons never looked back, outscoring Erie 32-7 in the first quarter. The Kats finally got to double-digits halfway through the second quarter, by which time the game was well in Howard's control. The Dragons led 66-18 at the half, but slowed down offensively in the second half. Howard scored just 13 points in the third quarter, but it didn't matter as the deficit was too great for Erie to overcome.
