Richmond, VA - Howard Community College's JV men's basketball team fell to 0-8 on the season as they lost to Virginia Union University's JV team 83-64.

In their first ever rematch, the Dragons fought to within ten points against the team they nearly beat back in December. The game ultimately got away from the Dragons late in the second half.

Nehemiah Smith (Bronx, NY/Laurel) finished with his fifth double-double of the season, scoring 16 points and 15 rebounds. Smith also added two assists and three blocks. Jasper Hanna (Washington, DC/E.L. Haynes) added 15 points, seven rebounds, and four assists. Kanye McMahon (Lexington Park, MD/Chopticon) had an excellent night with 12 points, nine rebounds, and four assists. Biden Elung added six points and eight rebounds, while Nathan Hiteshew (Columbia, MD/Wilde Lake) added seven points off the bench.

The Dragons next face Washington Adventist University Thursday, January 30 at 5:00 PM.
