Dailey's Big Day Spoiled as Dragons Fall to Bobcats

Virginia Beach, VA - Jasmine Dailey (Odenton, MD/Meade) put together one of her best performances of the 2025-26 season, but it wasn't enough to take down the #17 Bryant & Stratton Bobcats on Sunday.

Dailey and the Dragons had the odds stacked against them from the beginning, and while they were unable to overcome the Bobcats, their performance was notably better than last year's against the same squad.

Howard came into Sunday's game hoping to score a massive upset against one of the best teams in the country, and early on they were able to keep pace with the Bobcats. The Dragons led for the first five minutes of the game, thanks to tough baskets from Dailey and Hannah Chambers (Columbia, MD/Hammond). However, a surge of Bobcat shooting down the stretch put the Dragons in a 22-8 hole they never recovered from. Howard focused on keeping the game as close as possible the rest of the contest, and were able to double the points they had scored against the Bobcats during last year's performance.

Dailey led the team in all major statistical categories, finishing the afternoon with 11 points, seven rebounds, three assists, and three steals. Chambers added nine points, three rebounds, and two blocks, while Emmanuella Oga (Randallstown, MD/Randallstown), in her first start since November 9, added seven points and three steals. Oga also hit the only three-pointer of the day for the Dragons. London Galbraith (Washington, D.C./Friendship Collegiate Academy) finished with six points and three rebounds, while Savannah Price (Woodbridge, VA/Freedom) added six points.

The Dragons face a major test this week as they host Hagerstown Community College in a crucial Division II showdown. Tip-off will be at 5:00 PM on Tuesday, December 2!
