Columbia, MD - The Howard Community College Dragons fell 7-0 in a lopsided loss to the #19-ranked Harford Community College Fighting Owls on Friday evening.
The Dragons kept things close in the first half, holding onto a 2-0 deficit to the Fighting Owls. However, Harford scored five times in the second half to put the contest away.
The Dragons were held scoreless for the first time this season.
Maeve Daly and
Gabriela Rodriguez each had two shots, but were unable to find the back of the net.
Goalkeepers
Shyann Hansen and
Sophia Newman combined to make nine saves for the Dragons. Hansen had her breakout game, saving seven shots for Howard.
The Dragons will look to bounce back next week as they face rivals CCBC Essex on Wednesday, September 17 at 5:00 PM.
