Box Score 1 MONACA, PA - The Howard Dragons volleyball team continued their impressive streak, winning their fourth and fifth straight matches to start the season as they took down Beaver County in straight sets followed by a five-set thriller over the College of Southern Maryland.

In a tri-match that included a pair of regional foes, the Dragons got to an early morning start with a 3-0 win over Beaver County. Howard dominated the match from start to finish, easily defeating the Titans in all three sets 25-17, 25-10, 25-17.

The second match proved to be much more closely contested, with Howard winning the first two sets 25-23 and 25-19. The CSM Hawks fought back, winning the third set 25-22 and the fourth set by the same score. The Dragons were able to regroup, taking down the decisive fifth set 15-11 to win the match.

The 5-0 Dragons will return to Maryland to enjoy their home opener against conference rivals Montgomery College on Tuesday, September 15 at 6 PM. The Montgomery Raptors come into the game with a 3-7 record, but are 3-1 in conference play.
