Howard Community College

Diego Chufan joined the Howard Community College Men’s Soccer program as Assistant Coach and Team Manager in August 2025.

A recent graduate of Long Reach High School, Diego brings both passion and relatability to the HCC coaching staff. His youth allows him to connect naturally with players, and his Argentine background plays a key role in supporting the integration of international Hispanic players.

Since graduating in 2023, Diego has immersed himself in the Howard County soccer scene—coaching at the grassroots, recreational, and travel levels with Ellicott City Soccer Club, as well as serving on the Varsity coaching staff at Long Reach High School.

He is currently pursuing his USSF “D” Coaching License and an Associate of Arts degree in Exercise Science at Howard Community College. In addition to his role at HCC, Diego coaches within the Ellicott City Soccer Club and works as a recess soccer coach at Jeffers Hill Elementary School, where he shares his love of the game with children of all ages. He currently resides in Halethorpe, MD.
