Danielle Durjan was named the head coach of the women's basketball team in April 2026.
Durjan joins the Dragons after serving as assistant coach and general manager of Mount St. Mary's University women's basketball program for the past two seasons. During her tenure at the Mount, she helped the Mountaineers to a 30-31 overall record and a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) semifinals appearance in 2025.
Prior to her stint at the Mount, Durjan served as associate head coach of the Coppin State University Eagles. Her one year at Coppin resulted in a 12-18 record, a victory over power-five opponent Pittsburgh, and a semifinals appearance in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) tournament. Durjan previously served as an assistant coach at Morgan State during the 2022-23 season, and an assistant coach at CCBC Essex from 2019 to 2022. Her time at Morgan State resulted in a 17-12 record, a MEAC tournament appearance, and a berth in the Women's NIT. At Essex, she served under head coach Mike Seney, where Durjan played an integral part for a program that went a combined 65-3, won two Region 20 championships, and finished third in the NJCAA division II tournament in 2022.
Durjan played for Seney at Harford Community College during the 2016-17 season after a stint at Sacred Heart University. She averaged 14.5 points per game and helped Harford to the NJCAA Division I national tournament. After Harford, she played two seasons at Towson University, averaging 7.0 points per game across two seasons and helping the Tigers to a berth in the 2018 NCAA Women's National Tournament.
