Howard Community College

Eryn Withers, aka Eryn Barnes, was named the head coach of the women's basketball team in July 2021. Withers had been serving as the interim head coach of the program since August 2020.

Withers was named the associate head coach of the Howard Community College women’s basketball program since  2017.

Withers was previously an assistant Howard CC coach from 2012-2014.  More recently, she was an assistant basketball coach at the Community College of Baltimore County at Dundalk.  She was also the director of basketball operations at the University of Louisiana at Monroe.

Eryn earned a Bachelor’s degree from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania in criminology and then obtained a Master’s degree at UL-Monroe for forensic psychology. 

As a basketball player, Withers was named to the second team of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference and was an all-star in the Suburban Coalition Semi-Pro Basketball League from 2009-2012.

Withers was named Coach of the Year by MDJUCO during the 2021-2022 season. 

Eryn currently resides with her family in Beltsville, Maryland.
