Game Recap: Women's Volleyball |

Strong Start for Dragons

The Howard Community College Women's Volleyball program started the season off on a strong note with two convincing three games to none victories over conference opponents CCBC Catonsville and Baltimore City Community College at their annual Dragon Invitational.  

In the first matchup of the day the Dragons won in three sets over CCBC Catonsville by a score of (25-19, 25-16, 25-15).  This game was dominated by Sophomore Katryna Katulski (Elkridge, MD, Mount De Sales HS) who led the team in kills and aces with 8-5.  Aspen Ritchie (Elkridge, MD, Long Reach HS) also played a key role in this match leading the team with 13 digs.  

Later in the day they played their second match against Baltimore City Community College in which they won in three sets as well by a score of (25-21, 25-13, 25-21).  In the second match Freshman Brandi Kraisser (Ellicott City, MD, Centennial HS) led the team with five kills, two aces and two blocks. 

The Dragons now 2-0 on the season will return to action tomorrow in the Dragon invitational as they will look to bring home the crown.
