The Howard CC men's basketball team fell to an overpowering Hagerstown CC team by the score of 97-86. The loss drops the Dragons to 3-12 overall and 0-7 in the conference.
Hagerstown scored on a free throw just 5 seconds into the game and never looked back as the Dragons were unable to have a single lead all game. The Hawks shot 50% from the floor compared to 39% by the Dragons with Howard CC putting up 32 three-pointers in the game making 10.
The one Dragon that was shooting well was
Taequan Hall (Baltimore, MD, Glen Burnie HS) who scored 18 points on 4-5 shooting and 8-8 from the charity line.
Juwan Grant (Baltimore, MD, Baltimore City HS) provided his normal production with 21 points and 9 rebounds and point guard
Kyle Davis (Washington D.C., Wakefield HS) added another 10 assist game.
Gregory Ash Jr. (West Baltimore, MD, Northwestern HS) provided a spark off the bench with 11 points and 9 rebounds while the Dragons got three 3-pointers each from
Ryan Jackson (Baltimore, MD, Milford Mill Academy) and
Terrell Willis (Washington D.C., Chapel Gate Christian) with both adding 12 points to the score sheet.
The Dragons get to stay at home for their next game as they face Region XX opponent Potomac State on Wednesday January 13th at 7:30 PM.
