The Howard CC men's basketball continued their harrowing season losing to Chesapeake College 75-68. The loss puts the Dragons at 3-15 on the season and a conference worst 0-8 record.
Once again, the Dragons wet the entire game without ever having the lead in the game as they shot just 36% from the floor.
Gregory Ash Jr. (West Baltimore, MD, Northwestern HS)was the only starter on the Dragons to finish the game with double digit points with 12 along with 7 rebounds and 6 assists.
Kyle Davis (Washington D.C., Wakefield HS)finished with 8 assists and 7 steals, but also had 8 turnovers and just 4 points.
The majority of the Dragons scoring came from the bench as
John Grant Jr. (Baltimore, MD, Baltimore City HS)dropped 18 points and collected 17 boards while
Nathan Bonsu (Silver Spring, MD, James Hubert Blake HS)added 13 points.
The Dragons next take on conference rivals Harford Community College as former Dragons head coach Mike Smelkinson makes his second trip to the Dragons Lair since leaving Howard CC for the Fighting Owls. That game will take place on Wednesday January 27th with tip-off scheduled for 7:30 PM.
