The women's soccer team increased their winning streak to three straight after defeating Montgomery College 3-0. After uncharacteristically struggling at the start of the game, the dragons managed to find their groove in the second half en route to the victory.

After the opening 35 minutes, the Dragons managed to find the back of the net on a 37th minute goal from Nikki Vieira, who finished the game with two goals and an assist. Following the goal, the tide of the game started swaying towards Howard.

In the second half, the Dragons added another goal from Vieira in the 53rd minute and a goal from Brittany Nixon (Columbia, MD/Oakland Mills) in the 80th minute, on an assist from Vieira.

Regarding her performance over the past three games, Vieira said  "the New Jersey tournament was a wakeup call for the team and especially for me. After that I decided to gain my confidence back and decided to start doing the best I could in order to help the team reach its goals and meet our coaches expectations."

Vieira now has 9 goals on the season and will look to finish the regular season on a high note when the 8-4-2 [5-1-1] Dragons face Potomac State on October 21 at the Dragons Athletic Complex.
