How it happened:
  • The Dragons dominated the game on the offensive side, putting up 35 shots in the game.
  • Freshman Nikki Viera (Brazil) had 11 shots with 8 on goal.
  • Kaitlyn McDaniel had 5 shots and Brittany Nixon (Columbia, MD/Oakland Mills HS) had 8.
  • Howard held AACC to only 2 shots in the 2nd half.
  • Aleena Walters just missed a great, high arching shot on goal in the 2nd overtime that bounced off the top bar, but the Dragons were unable to secure a goal on the rebound.
