The Howard Community College (HCC) Men's Soccer Program came from behind to force 2OT tie against Division-I Harford Community College (Harford) Owls.
Â
HCC played in yet another thrilling 2OT game Tuesday evening. Â The game went back and forth with both teams getting good opportunities on the attack. Â Harford's goal came in the first half on a sloppy play that led to the Owls receiving a penalty kick, which was converted by Harford's Antonio Savi. Â
Â
Howard stayed with the game plan throughout the match even with a one-goal deficit at halftime, which allowed them to continually threaten the Owls defense and equalize the game in the 55th minute on a goal by
Steve Amankwah (/). Â The Dragons defense came up big yet again this game taking Harford's Antonio Savi out of the equation. Â
Â
HCC drew Harford off their game and forced them to receive five cautions. Â The Dragons controlled the overtime periods testing the Owls defense on multiple occasions. Â In the 109th minute of play, the Dragons
Gabriel Rojas (/) had a beautiful shot that ultimately bounced off the crossbar and barely missed going in the net.Â
Â
The Dragons return to action this Friday at 4 PM in Dragons Stadium as they face Chesapeake.?
