Bel Air, MD - A valiant effort from the Dragons was not enough as the Harford Fighting Owls won the day 25-9, 26-24, 25-12.
Despite the first set being one-sided, Howard came back strong in the second set and even had a couple chances at set point. But a five point run for the Fighting Owls took the set and Harford controlled the third set as well to take the match.
Mumbi Murugi-Kamau (Columbia, MD/Wilde Lake) came a kill short from a double-double with nine kills and 11 digs while
Sydney Tucker () added eight kills. Setter
Jasmyn Bumbray (Ellicott City, MD/Centennial) assisted on 11 of the points while also chipping in on defense with seven digs.
The Dragons will next travel Cecil College on Thursday, October 4 for a 6 PM match.
