Columbia, MD - An historically excellent performance by sophomore center Sabreen Muslim (Baltimore, Md./Baltimore City College) was not enough for the Dragons as they fell 74-52 to the Massasoit Warriors. 

Muslim was the star of the show, finishing the night with 38 points and 22 rebounds while shooting 16-27 from the floor and pulling down nine offensive boards. However, a high powered second quarter for the Warriors in which they scored 24 points on 11-18 from the floor put the game out of reach for Howard.

Down by as much 25 midway through the third quarter, the Dragons made a strong push to cut that lead to 15 early in the fourth quarter before Massasoit pulled away late.

Both the points and rebounds for Muslim in the game are the second most in the modern era of statistical reporting for the Dragons (2014-present). The record for most points in a game is held by Muslim after she scored 40 against LaGuardia on December 9, 2016 while the most rebounds in a game was Paulina Buzaite (Ellicott City, MD/Prienai Ziburio) with 27 against CCBC Catonsville on February 2, 2018.

Howard will now prepare for a five game road trip starting with a conference match at Frederick on Wednesday, November 14 at 5 PM.
