Frederick, MD – Another strong performance from Dragons forward
Sabreen Muslim (Baltimore, Md./Baltimore City College) was not enough to stave off the Cougars, as the hosts won 78-44 in the first conference game for both teams.
Despite some early struggles from Howard, Muslim was once again dominant in the post with 27 points and 18 rebounds for her fifth consecutive double-double to start the season.
Frederick's aggressive defense proved to be difficult for the Dragons to deal with as turnovers and fast break points were the difference in the game.
Elaina Heisig (Glenelg, MD/Glenelg) knocked down a trio of treys for nine points in the game while
Zulekha Karachiwalla (Marriottsville, MD/Marriotts Ridge) and
Mia McCormick (Philadelphia, PA/River Hill) each added four points to the cause.
Howard will now head up to New York to face Niagara County on Saturday, November 17 for a 1 PM game.
