Frederick, MD - A strong game from freshman Deven Richmond (Bear, DE/DeMatha) was one of the few bright spots as the Frederick Cougars outpaced the Dragons 113-88.

The Cougars jumped out early on Howard, leading by as much as 25 in the first half as the Dragons defense struggled to slow down a high scoring Frederick squad.

With Howard falling behind early, Richmond started to take control of the offense more with his increased minutes and dropped 23 points including four hits from long range.

The Dragons starting forward tandem of Jareem Lovette (Warsaw, NC/James Kenan) and Jaden Stonework (Clinton, MD/Gwynn Park) were effective on the offensive end with Lovette scoring 16 points on 6-8 shooting while Stonework added 14 points including an 8-8 performance from the charity stripe.

However, the Cougars offense was electric in the game, shooting 62% from the floor with 58 points in the paint.

The Dragons will now hit the road to New York as they will take on Niagara County on Saturday, November 17 at 3 PM.
