Wye Mills, MD - The Dragons were unable to maintain a fast start as they fell to Chesapeake 82-71. 

Howard jumped out to a 21-10 lead early before Chesapeake came back to tie it at 23-23 at halftime. The Skipjacks carried that momentum to building up a big second half lead and held on late despite having just five players for almost the entire game.

Jesse Calloway (Lynchburg, VA/Heritage) had a second straight game of hot shooting as he scored 24 points including a quintet of three pointers. Amar Shivers (Washington, DC/Central) scored 13 points with 15 rebounds and Emeka Eni (Pesaro, Italy/Lewisville) added 12 points. Jaden Stonework (Clinton, MD/Gwynn Park) scored eight points with 10 rebounds while fellow forward Nathan Ferguson (Silver Spring, MD/Bethesda) swatted an amazing eight blocks in the contest.

The Dragons will next host Baltimore City on Saturday, January 19 at 3 PM as Howard continues to search for their first conference win of the season.
