Columbia, MD - A hot start allowed the Dragons to cruise to an 81-64 victory over the Anne Arundel Riverhawks as Howard snapped a 10 game losing streak and picked up their first conference win of the season.

Devin Richmond and Kevin Yomba (Silver Spring, MD/Paint Branch) caught fire early in the first half as they propelled the Dragons to a 21-5 lead after nine minutes. 

Leading 42-34 at halftime, Nathan Ferguson (Silver Spring, MD/Bethesda) snagged a rebound and took it all the way for a fast break lay up on his way to a nine point, 10 rebound, three block performance.

Jesse Calloway (Lynchburg, VA/Heritage) scored 17 points, but the highlight of the night was his play making ability with six assists including an alley oop pass to Richmond who slammed it down to the delight of the home crowd as the Dragons led by double digits for almost the entire second half.

Richmond led the way with 23 points while Yomba added 16 points and 12 rebounds with Emeka Eni (Pesaro, Italy/Lewisville) adding eight to the cause.

The Dragons will have their final home game of the regular season on Saturday, February 2 at 3 PM as they host CCBC Dundalk.
