Columbia, MD – The Dragons lone sophomore was honored in the home finale for the Dragons as Jordan Reid (Silver Spring, MD/Albert Einstein) had a memorable night to lead Howard over CCBC Dundalk 86-77.

Howard jumped out to an early lead but Dundalk was able to fight back and tie the game at 19-19 midway through the first half. The Dragons roared back to an 11-1 run

Reid made two early baskets which helped him eclipse the 500 point mark over his two year career as a Dragon as he was given the game ball to recognize the accomplishment as he went on to score 20 in the contest.

Deven Richmond (Bear, DE/DeMatha) out all of his talents on display in the first half with a couple of long range three pointers as well as a couple powerful dunks as he scored 14 in the first half and finished with a season high 30 in the game.

The Lions made a run midway through the second half to take a 56-54 lead with 13 minutes left in the first half, but Howard went on a 10-0 run with Emeka Eni (Pesaro, Italy/Lewisville) scoring a fast break lay up and a three pointer to highlight the stretch.

Once again Dundalk fought their way back to make it a four point Howard lead with just under four minutes to play, but a Richmond long range three capped a 9-0 run to close out the game for the Dragons to secure their first back-to-back wins of the season.

Kevin Yomba (Silver Spring, MD/Paint Branch) added 14 points and nine rebounds while Eni scored 13 from off the bench.

The Dragons will look to extend their winning streak when they travel to Hagerstown on Wednesday, February 6 at 7 PM.
