Columbia, MD – A shorthanded Dragons squad held up against a strong Allegany squad for much of the second half, but the Trojans were able to pull away late to defeat Howard 100-83.

Jordan Reid (Silver Spring, MD/Albert Einstein) and Emeka Eni (Pesaro, Italy/Lewisville) started out on fire for the Dragons as the two combined to score the first 21 points for Howard as they trailed the powerhouse Trojans by just one after 15 minutes of play.

That was the high water mark as Allegany took control of the game at the end of the first half and carried that momentum through the second stanza on the back of 33 points by Demarcus Demonia and 24 from Antoine Lewis.

Reid finished with 28 points and 10 rebounds for his first double-double of the season while Eni scored a season high 18. Zabril Carey (Laurel, MD/Reservoir), fresh off being promoted to the roster, scored 12 points on 6-8 shooting from the floor while Amar Shivers (Washington, DC/Central) added nine points and 10 rebounds.

The Dragons will next host another conference rival as Prince George's comes to town on Wednesday, January 9 at 7 PM.
