Bel Air, MD - The powerhouse Harcum Bears took advantage of their size as they were able to defeat the Dragons 83-70 in the Harford Hoops Classic.
The Dragons struggled with their shooting touch in a fast paced first half and despite a much stronger second half, they were unable to overcome the deficit.
Daeshawn Eaton (Columbia, MD/Oakland Mills) played all 40 minutes in the game and was the driving force for Howard with 19 points.
Christian Matthews (Clinton, MD/National Christian) scored 11 of his 14 points in the second half and
Kelvin Sellman (Temple Hills, MD/Crossland) added 10 points to the cause.
Michael Gray (Glendale, MD/Bowie) only scored four points, but grabbed eight rebounds with four assists, two steals and a block.
Howard will rest for the winter break before returning home to play CCBC Catonsville on Wednesday, January at 7 PM.
