Columbia, MD - A dominant first half allowed the Dragons to cruise to victory as they defeated the CCBC Catonsville Cardinals 111-64.
Howard outscored their opponents 65-27 in one of the most impressive performances in recent memory. The Dragons had five double digit scorers and three players that scored over 20 points in a one-sided affair.
The Dragons were led by
Christian Matthews (Clinton, MD/National Christian) with 23 points and 13 rebounds followed closesly by
Daeshawn Eaton (Columbia, MD/Oakland Mills) and
Deven Richmond (Bowie, MD/DeMatha) with 22 points each.
Hollique Smith-Johnson (Glen Burnie, MD/Old Mill) scored a season high 15 with
Joel Webb (Forestville, MD/Wise) adding 10.
Howard will return to the Lair on Saturday, January 11 when they host Baltimore City at 1 PM.
