Mike Smelkinson and his Dragons were easily able to overwhelm the Harford Fighting Owls 88-55.
After Harford scored on the first possession of the game,
Kelvin Sellman (Temple Hills, MD/Crossland) lobbed up a perfect alley-oop to
Deven Richmond (Bowie, MD/DeMatha) who slammed it home to set the tone of the game. Sellman finished with 12 assists as the point guard toyed with the visitors.
Howard had five players in double-digit figures led by
Christian Matthews (Clinton, MD/National Christian) with 17.
Daeshawn Eaton (Columbia, MD/Oakland Mills) scored 15 on 7-8 shooting from the floor along with eight rebounds ad Richmond closed with 13.
Cole Harshman (Baltimore, MD/Dulaney)Â chipped in four long range makes and
Michael Gray (Glendale, MD/Bowie) scored 11 points; all in the first half.
The Dragons will face a big match up on Friday, January 17 as they host Frederick for a crucial 7 PM game.
